The Lazy Girl's Guide To Nighttime Skincare

The Lazy Girl's Guide To Nighttime Skincare | A Girl, Obsessed

Skincare is undoubtedly one of the most important parts of any beauty routine. If you don't wash your face morning and night, your pores will get clogged up with dirt, excess oils, and makeup, which will lead to major breakouts and blotchy skin. If you're anything like me though, by the time you're getting ready for bed, you're super tired and don't feel like going through all of the steps to remove your makeup, wash, tone, moisturize, etc. But we're supposed to get our faces clean before bed, right? Right. So, I've created the perfect compromise. I present to you The Lazy Girl's Guide To Nighttime Skincare!

Cleanse

First thing's first, we need to take off any makeup on our faces. Best way to save time? Use a product that cleanses your face at the same time. I currently switch between micellar water and cleansing wipes. Both completely remove makeup while cleansing my skin, killing two birds with one stone. I've really been loving the Korres Pomegranate Towelettes* for quickly removing my makeup while still getting my skin nice and clean. Bioderma is still my all-time favorite micellar water. It literally melts everything off my skin yet is still incredibly gentle.

Tone

Next up, let's tone, but only if we need to. If I'm in a hurry I'll skip this step, but for girls that have oily skin you can quickly swipe some toner over your trouble areas, like your t-zone. A great option for a quick toner are the Glow Tonic To-Go Pads* from Pixi. Since these are pre-soaked, they're quick and easy to use, plus they help exfoliate which is really great for the skin. Another quick way to tone is by getting a facial spray like the Rosewater Balancing Mist* from Jurlique. Just a quick spritz on the face and you're toned and hydrated all in one.

Moisturize

Finally, it's time to moisturize. This is the one step that I wouldn't skip, seeing as how it helps prevent premature wrinkles and ensures a smooth base for your makeup the next morning. A great nighttime moisturizer is Aveeno's Positively Radiant Night Cream. It really hydrates the skin so you wake up to a radiant complexion, and it's not greasy so you don't have to worry about it getting all over your pillow. Once you've moisturized, don't forget to dab a little eye cream on and you're done! A quick routine that will take only a few minutes, and then you can go to bed knowing your skin is clean and beautiful.
