Things To Keep In Mind About Blogging Advice

Things To Keep In Mind About Blogging Advice | A Girl, Obsessed

Blogging has really changed over the past decade, going from a small creative hobby to fully-fledged businesses for some. For the last few years, articles on how to improve and grow your blog have become extremely popular, with most bloggers lending their opinions at least once or twice. If you've been reading my blog for awhile, you'll know that I've shared all kinds of posts on the topic and that I really love sharing any tips and tricks I've learned along the way. When writing posts about blogging though, I've always felt the need to put a little disclaimer of some kind just as a reminder to read with an open mind. Advice is never meant to be taken as set in stone rules, and should be used more as a guideline rather than strict instruction. When reading any articles on blog improvement, try to keep the following things in mind:

  • What works for one person may not necessarily work for another
  • It's okay to tweak someone's advice to better suit your situation or work style
  • Don't be afraid to try different things until you find what works for you
  • Everybody's blogging journey is completely unique and different
  • There is no such thing as an overnight success story - everything in life takes hard work, dedication, and time
  • It's a good idea to take all blogging advice with a grain of salt
  • Just because you haven't seen it done yet doesn't mean it's not supposed to be done - maybe you're just supposed to be the first person to do it
  • Nothing is set in stone; you can change and experiment as much as you like
  • You will never reach a point where you stop learning and stop perfecting your skills
  • Don't let advice turn into limitations
  • Create what works for you - don't feel like you have to follow someone else's example
  • Research and learn, but also keep yourself open to experiment and discover
  • If something doesn't feel right, don't do it
  • It's a good idea to try everything once, just to see if it works for you or not
